Development and manufacturing of telecommunication equipment

PON

In 2009 Eltex company started to offer a wide range of station (OLT GPON) and customer (ONT GPON) devices. Development is carried out by Russian specialists (Eltex employees) using microchips made by Broadcom Corporation - our strategic partner and world leader in the field of passive optical network (PON) solutions. Each serial GPON Eltex device is manufactured in our own plant in Novosibirsk.

The main advantages of Eltex xPON devices are:

  • Data transfer using a single optical fiber line:
    • 2,5 Gbps — downstream,
    • 1,25 Gbps — upstream;
  • Passive nodes between station and customer devices (no need to install, power and maintain additional devices).
  • High reliability (connecting, disconnecting or malfunction of one or several customer nodes does not affect the rest).
  • A number of important services through the single cable (the technology allows for simultaneous transfer of data, voice (FXS ports) and video (CATV, IPTV, video-conferencing)).
  • Perfect network scalability, splitters can be cascaded.
  • No 100-meter limit between subscriber and switch, common to copper cable structures.
  • Offering telephony services directly with the use of ONT (FXS ports to ONT).
  • Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) support.
  • Wide spectrum of customer devices starting from the simplest to most functional devices, with an onboard Gigabit router and USB, FXS, Wi-Fi, CATV interfaces.
  • Use of Wi-Fi technology of the 802.11n standard allows for a broadband network deployment in the customer's home.
  • Equipment supports RSSI function, which allows checking the signal level coming from each of customer devices.
  • Ability to connect up to 64 customer terminals to a single port of a station device.
  • OLT line is available: Compact version of the station terminal in 1U case (LTE-8X, LTE-2X, LTP-8X), as well as the modular access node MA4000-PX.
  • Full compliance with the G.984.(1-4), G.988 and TR-156 standards as well as compliance with the Broadband Forum Testing and Certification program.
  • Convenient tools for a service provider to manage the entire network – the unified monitoring and control system Eltex EMS and ACS control server allows management of customer devices via the TR-069 protocol.
